A Life Defined By Less

Saying no has always been important to me. I’ve always not wanted to do things, not wanted to be around people, not wanted to leave the house, not wanted to spend money. I want to do less and less. There are definitely still many things I want to do, the desire to create, learn, and grow are always there. Everything most people do causes destruction though. I wish I could just freeze things where they are. I wish I could freeze time.

I used to fantasize about being on a spaceship going to Mars- not because I care about space. I don’t, and in fact I think that is one more of the things we should stop doing (burning resources, so that people can leave our fucked planet). I fantasized about the time I’d have. The time to do focus on things and just exist. It feels like modern life isn’t only designed to destroy existence itself, but also to destroy our abilities to just exist. Existence in this moment is all we have. I’m very thankful for it.
